"She is clothed in strength & dignity and laughs without fear of the future..."

Ohhhhh how we HEART Charlie Claire's team at VCU!

Charlie Claire handled the EEG like a pro! Thankfully there was no glue or air gun involved since this was a temporary EEG so that made the actual application sooo much quicker! That plus a tootsie pop and we had one happy girl!

Dr. T (surgeon) and his nurse, Joann stopped by the EEG lab for a quick visit which is always fun! They are such amazing people! After the EEG we met with Dr. M.  He said that overall C's EEG looks normal.  Charlie Claire did not have a seizure during the EEG, which was slightly to be expected.  C's seizures typically happen when she wakes from sleeping so it wasn't her "normal" time to have a seizure.  We discussed the increase in activity and it is not something that Dr. M feels that we need to attack aggressively right now.  He, of course, gave us the option of putting Charlie on a medication at bedtime since the increase in activity seems to be happening within two hours of waking.  I asked if we could give it a few more weeks before we make that decision and he felt that we could give it 2-3 months before doing anything.  The seizures she is having are not causing any brain damage or hindering her development, they are merely a distraction.  If things do not improve over the next 2-3 months then we can discuss medication if we feel the seizures are causing to much of a distraction for her.

We are so thankful that Dr. M is so conservative when it comes to medication and are unbelievably grateful that currently the seizures Charlie is having do not require her to be on medication.

Oh you know...just some light reading  while she's waiting!

Bless this sweet girl!

Pretty view on the ride home!
