Is it really August?? Where has the time gone?!
We are still in full summer swing...beach, pool, and swimming are the three main words we hear around here on a regular basis. We are going to have two disappointed littles come fall! :)
We are also in potty training mode! Jackson has been potty trained for a few months now but C recently started showing more interest so we are full steam ahead with getting her out of diapers! She is doing really, really well!
We do have some other news to share. Charlie Claire is officially off all seizure medications. She has been off for a little over a month now. I haven't really been ready to shout it from the roof top even though this is where we ultimately wanted her to be I just always thought she would be seizure free and off medicine. Thankfully C's neuro is very big on risk/benefit and making sure that the cure for her epilepsy is not worse then her epilepsy itself. That is why he wanted to see how she did off medication. At her last med check Charlie's level wasn't even close to therapeutic so after a few chats Dr. M suggested seeing how C does off medication completely. With her seizure activity being so minimal and increasing her dose to a therapeutic level would come with side effects it just seemed like good timing. Things have been totally normal since she has been off medicine, there has been no change in her seizure activity whatsoever. We know this probably isn't a permanent situation but we are grateful for the time being that Charlie Claire is medically stable enough to not be on any meds! :)

No more seizure meds?! This is huge news. I will be anxious to follow along and see how things go; I hope she continues to thrive.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on the great finish in your mud run. Such a cool photo.
